Math Madness is an online, team-based competition held annually, with teams of
at least five students competing in weekly 30-minute matches. Each match consists
of 7-8 AMC-style questions, solved individually while contributing to a team score.
The event begins with league rounds, including collaboration and qualifying rounds,
followed by a single-elimination bracket tournament, where top teams advance.
Matches are either live or asynchronous within the round’s timeframe, and rankings
update as the season progresses. Teams are placed in brackets based on skill level,
ensuring competitive matchups. Eliminated teams can continue playing scrimmage
matches, allowing for a full 10-round season.
